Titans snatch dramatic win

TITANS grabbed four precious Championship points against Cornish Pirates - literally by the skin of their fingertips.

Andre Bester's side grabbed a massive win but only after Pirates saw a golden chance to win the game go begging.

After opening a hard-hewn 19-0 lead, Titans were then put under massive pressure as the visitors reduced the deficit to one point with a contentious penalty try - leaving them with a conversion in front of goal to win the game.

But Rob Cook agonisingly saw his kick charged down superbly by Peter Swatkins, blocking the effort with his fingertips.

Pirates also saw a drop goal attempt sail icnhes wide and then had a last-gasp try ruled out, leaving Rotherham to claim an unliklely win.

Said Bester: "It was a fantsastic performance by our side and we deserved it."
