Titans look to hit back after Welsh defeat

TITANS will today begin a search for a new front row forward after suffering a heavy wake-up call at London Welsh.

The Clifton Lane men went down 39-10 - hammered by six tries to one - at Old Deer Park after failing to recover from a dreadful start when they were 10-0 down before they'd even touched the ball.

Coach Andre Bester philosophically said afterwards that Rotherham had hit the wall after paying for inexperience and a first-half game plan which ddn't work out.

"It was one of those days and we'll start looking to add to our squad to cover for the absence of Rob O'Donnell," said Bester.

"But it was always going to be tough against a side like Welsh.

"Having said that we've won three of the five toughest opening games you're likely to face and we have to be happy with that."

Rotherham's consolation points came from a Louis McGowan try plus a Juan Pablo Socino penalty and a conversion.
