Titans join forces scheme

TITANS have joined a scheme to provide tickets to injured and serving armed forces personnel.

Called Tickets for Troops, Rotherham believe it is an appropriate way of giving something back to those who serve the country.

All serving members of the forces and all those who have had medically discharges since the commencement of military action in Afghanistan in 2001 are eligible to register.

Said a club spokesman: “We look forward to welcoming our heroes to Clifton Lane when the opportunity arises and are sure all supporters of the club will extend the same warm welcome accordingly.

“The link follows the recent announcement of collaboration with The Yorkshire Regiment, in setting up a new competition involving the three Yorkshire sides in the RFU Championship, for the Yorkshire Regiment Trophy.”

Titans find themselves alongside an array of prominent figures and organisations in their support of the scheme.

Tickets for Troops Chairman, Lord Jonathan Marland, said of the scheme: "It has benefited from a huge wave of generosity from our ticket donors, patrons and advisory board who have wanted to demonstrate their support and appreciation of the dedication and commitment of the marvellous men and women from our forces. I want to pay tribute to our troops who are doing such an extraordinary job during these difficult times."
