Titans forge links with Leicester

Teenager George Oliver has signed on a short-term loan from the Whelford Road club and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s British and Irish Cup toughie against Munster.

Rotherham coach Alex Codling is optimistic that Oliver will be the first of several players to make the trip up the M1 as part of a dual-registration partnership.

He said: “Leicester are a fantastic club and if we can develop a working relationship with them then it can only be good.

“George is a highly-rated young flanker and he’ll initially spend a couple of weeks with us and we’ll take it from there.”
