Titans bring in new centre

TITANS have made their first signing for next season with hightly-rated Moseley centre Will Owen having agreed terms.

Owen is the first confirmed new recruit and Titans head coach Lee Blackett is delighted to have captured the youngster.

He said " Will is someone I've seen in every single Moseley game in the league this year. He's a young lad that I've watched and been impressed by throughout, he's got massive potential and I him see as a potential Premiership player.

"He's a good ball carrier and he gives you plenty of go-forward; he has the ability to play 12 and 13, but potentially the best position for him is 12. We'll have a hard look at him in pre-season and see where he's best suited for the team.

"Not only have I been impressed with him on the field, but also off the field. He has a great attitude; we've had meetings and we've spoke several times and his desperation to succeed is something we as a club look for.

"We're delighted that he's decided to join us, I'm sure he'll be a massive success and we're looking forward to working with him next season.”

Owen said: "I've made the move to Rotherham for a couple of reasons; firstly they are full time and this is important to me because for a young lad it gives me a chance to better develop all the skills that I need to perform day in - day out on the training field. Secondly, I like how Rotherham play; the centres get a lot of ball in hand and I really enjoy that, so that's another box ticked.
