Titans beaten in friendly

TITANS went down 21-7 to London Scottish in last night's friendly at Richmond.

But coach Mark Jones came away considering plenty of positives.

Three tries in the final ten minutes of the first half dealt killer blows before Jordan Davies collected Rotherham only score ten minutes from time.

Jones says there were good and bad aspects to the game.

"it’s a pre-season game, there’s no points up for grabs and I think we are now a lot clearer on the areas where we need to improve over the next couple of weeks going into the first league game," he said.

“We were particularly pleased with our set piece, especially as it was a first run out for a number of the boys. So to have that cohesion at set plays was good and we know we can still go up a level because we were nowhere near our best in that scenario.

“So moving forward there are lots of positives and I’m pleased the guys have had a good run out against quality opposition such as Scottish.”
