There's room for more, say Millers

ASSISTANT manager Paul Raynor believes two or three more signings will complete the Millers’ squad for the upcoming season.

Having already drafted in seven new recruits, Raynor and manager Steve Evans ideally want to complete all transfer dealings before the team head off on their pre-season tour of Scotland this week.

Defenders Lewis Buxton, Danny Collins, Tom Thorpe and Joe Mattock have been joined by midfielders Emmanuel Ledesma and Aidy White and the very versatile Greg Halford.

Raynor said the club was pushing to add more. He said: “There’s certainly room for more signings and the work doesn’t stop. We’d like to have the squad pretty much in place before we go to Scotland and the gaffer is working hard on that. We are hoping to have two or three more signings in place by then.

“The gaffer has done a fantastic job convincing them and telling them what we are trying to do here and as we sit now with the signings we have made we are absolutely delighted."
