Taylor injury boost for Millers

STRIKER Ryan Taylor is expected to the fit for the Millers' next match at Stockport County on Tuesday, delivering a hefty boost for manager Ronnie Moore.

Taylor limped out of this week's 2-0 win at Macclesfield amid fears he had aggravated the metatarsal injury he suffered before  the start of the season.

An x-ray has found no serious damage and now Taylor, who scored twice in Saturday's 5-0 destruction of Port Vale, is keen to resume training.

Moore said: "Ryan came in on Wednesday and said his foot was much better.

"He'll train today and then we'll have Saturday off and come in on Sunday and Monday so he should be OK for the Stockport game."

Moore will run the rule over struggling County when they take on Gillingham at Edgeley Park tomorrow, with Peter Ward placed in temporary charge following the sacking of Paul Simpson.

Tuesday's rearranged clash gives the Millers, in second spot in League Two, the chance to extended their seven-match unbeaten league run and place further pressure on Chesterfield at the top.
