Star player Rieder heading for Titans' exit door?

TITANS could be about to lose star forward Alex Rieder.

The 23-year-old is expected to put pen to paper with Premiership outfit Wasps, barring any late hitches, after another quality season at Clifton Lane.

Rieder was consistently Rotherham's best player last term, which alerted the Coventry-based club, who have also snapped up Lane coach Lee Blackett to take control of their backs department. The Kendal-born player came to Titans three years ago after breaking into the pro ranks as a teenager with Leeds, ironically making his debut in a B&I Cup game against Rotherham and scoring two tries.

It is understood that Blackett didn't have any dealings in Rieder moving to the Ricoh Arena.

Better news for Rotherham is that they are expected to bring in up to four new signings with two foreign back row imports - one a full international - to join the club.
