Rieder re-signs for Titans

Rieder has agreed a deal, taking the number of confirmed squad men to 17 — and assistant coach Lee Blackett says he’s delighted with the news.

Rieder has been watched by several top-flight clubs after an impressive season at Clifton Lane but believes his career will develop is he stays in the Championship for another year.

“We’ve agreed terms and we’re delighted that Alex will stay with us,” said Blackett. “One or two Premiership clubs were interested in him because he has been a stand-out performer with us. He knows there are aspects of his game he needs to work on and feels that Rotherham is the right place to sharpen his game."
