Revell nets winner for dominant Millers

ALEX Revell returned to the Rotherham United line-up to net the winner against Torquay United at the New York Stadium this afternoon.

The striker seized upon a defensive mix-up between goalkeeper Michael Poke and defender Kevin Nicholson to tap in the only goal of the game on 34 minutes.

It was a deserved victory in the absence of manager Steve Evans, serving the first of a six-match stadium ban, and was watched by another sizeable crowd at the Millers’ new home.

Rotherham dominated the contest and might have had five or six.

Kayode Odejayi and substitute Daniel Nardiello both hit the woodwork and Michael O’Connor, Ian Sharps, Ben Pringle and Odejayi again, when clean through, could have inflicted further damage.

It’s now three wins out of three, without a goal conceded, for the Millers in their first three league games at the New York Stadium.
