'Proud' Bester hails derby win

TITANS snapped a run of three straight defeats by beating Yorkshire rivals Doncaster at Clifton Lane on Saturday—much to the delight of coach Andre Bester.

A late penalty from Juan Pablo Socino settled a cracking local derby 35-34 in Rotherham's favour, with the Titans raider kicking 25 of the winning total. Rotherham's two tries came from Pete Swatkins and skipper Joe Bedford.

The win keeps the Titans on course for the Championship promotion play-offs, with Bester saying: "I'm proud of the team, particularly the way we defended at the end.
