Pringle poised to become first Millers signing

MIDFIELDER Ben Pringle will today be a Millers player barring any last-minute hitches—and Bradford City's Gareth Evans is being lined up to join him.

Pringle (22) was due to become manager Andy Scott's first signing of the summer subject to the results of a medical.

He is set to join on a two-year contract having been released by Derby County while striker Evans (23) is expected to join on a one-year contract with the option of a further year.

Newcastle-born Pringle is a versatile and talented left-sided midfielder. He has played a handful of games in the Championship with the Rams and had a loan spell at Torquay last season.

Evans started his career at Macclesfield before joining Bradford, where he made 28 starts last season, scoring three goals.

The Millers chief operating officer Paul Douglas said: "He's a good, strong and aggressive player with an eye for goal while Pringle is a good passer with good vision. We're excited to have him."
