Pope back on board with Millers

ROTHERHAM United have recalled Tom Pope from his loan spell at League Two promotion rivals Port Vale.

The striker has scored three goals in 13 appearances for the Valiants since the end of January and they currently sit ninth, one place above the Millers in League Two.

Vale fan Pope recently signed a deal to stay with them for a third month but will now be in contention for a starting place for Rotherham's match at Cheltenham on Saturday.

Vale's caretaker manager Mark Grew said: "We are bitterly disappointed to lose Tom but there's nothing I can do.

"I know he will be sorry to leave us and we thank him for his contribution."
