The Millers have won just one of their last 15 matches in league and cup, dropping to fourth bottom of the Championship, and manager Steve Evans knows they need to start turning their form around.

He said: "I was pleased how we did against Bournemouth, the players couldn't have given me any more. We came up against an exceptional side and gave them a tough game but we need to start getting some points. There are seven or eight teams who are all fighting near us and there's pressure everywhere."

Evans handed full debuts to new loan signings, striker Conor Sammon from Derby County and defender Zeki Fryers from Crystal Palace. Jack Barmby, Adam Hammill and Danny Ward also made their home debuts.

Having lost two more loan players last week in Reece James and Scott Wootton, Evans is striving to add one or two more new faces before the January transfer window closes.

He added: "We've a couple of bids in and we'll see where they go."
