Player search ahead of Terriers test

ROTHERHAM United face Huddersfield Town in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tonight with manager Ronnie Moore working away in the background to bring in new players.

Moore wants a creative central midfielder and a quick wide man to boost his side's promotion push after a win-less of four matches.

There are unlikely to be any new faces arriving in time for tonight's tie but there may be by the time League Two action resumes at Don Valley Stadium against Oxford United on Saturday.

Moore said: "We have knocked on one or two doors and at this present time nothing has happened yet but it might happen this week.

"We're looking at Championship and Premier League players. We've spoken to one or two young lads and a couple of lads with a little bit of pace so we'll see what happens."

A place in the northern area semi-final awaits tonight's winners but it is a tough task for Moore's men against a Huddersfield side riding high in League One.

"We couldn't have had a harder tie," he said.

Kick-off at Don Valley is 7.45pm.
