Nav ready for title tilt
FIGHTER Nav Mansouri gets the chance to pocket his first major title next week – and mentor Dave Coldwell says he’s ready to make the step up.
Mansouri, with just one defeat in his 13 fights, takes on Londoner Nathan Graham at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge next Friday for the vacant English Light Middleweight title.
And Coldwell believes the bout will be a full-blown tear-up, mirroring the last time the two met when Mansouri won on points at Magna a year ago.
“It is a rematch and it’s a fight we really wanted to make,” he said. “Nav is ready for the English title and he can’t wait to get out there."
