Nathan's just Yankee doodle dandy!
A ROTHERHAM youngster has helped to deliver a slap-shot to the face of American hockey players by beating their national side in their own back yard.
Nathan Ripley was part of the under-11 Great Britain side which travelled to California last week to take part in the Inline Hockey World Championships.
The Roughwood Junior and Infants pupil, from Kimberworth, proudly posed with his medal and his team’s trophy following their victory on Saturday (13).
His grandmother, Sandra Ripley, said: “I’m ever so proud."
