Nardiello to the rescue for Millers

STRIKER Daniel Nardiello scored a stoppage time equaliser to rescue a draw for Rotherham United against York City at the New York Stadium last night.

The Millers’ leading scorer turned in a cross from substitute Ben Pringle to peg the visitors back at 1-1 in what was the first-ever league draw at the club’s new home.

Chasing a fourth straight win, the Millers struggled to assert themselves and trailed to Matty Blair’s 63rd minute effort when he was set free to beat an exposed Andy Warrington.

Jason Walker shaved the crossbar for the visitors in the first half while Nardiello lobbed a decent chance over and Arnason fizzed a second-half effort close in the search for a leveller.

The Millers had man-of-the-match Warrington to thank for denying a clean-through Blair before but Nardiello’s 15th goal of the season ensured honours ended even.
