Mullins gets fitness boost

ROTHERHAM United defender Johnny Mullins has taken a big step forward in his comeback from injury.

After missing the last five months with a knee injury, the former Stockport County man played 69 minutes of the reserves' 5-1 win over Port Vale at Parkgate yesterday.

Mullins is now set for another reserves outing against Hull next week and has targeted the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Sheffield United on October 4 for his first-team comeback.

Striker Chris Holroyd notched four goals against Vale while Mark Bradley got the other.
