Morgan rumours nonsense

MILLERS manager Steve Evans scotched rumours that skipper Craig Morgan was set to leave the club.

It had been reported on social media that Morgan wanted a move away, but Evans stated: “I struggle to even make a comment on it. It's nonsense."

He said a result on Saturday against Norwich, following the 2-0 midweek victory over Blackburn, would show the Millers were adjusting to life in the Championship.

Evans said progress had to be measured against the calibre of teams they've been playing so far this season, and added: “With a couple more points, we'd be in mid-table, but then again we've played seven or eight of the top nine whereas I see that Watford, who are up in third, have played only a couple of the top nine. That speaks for itself.

“I'm lucky in that our fans know their football and they also appreciate how hard the league is."
