Millers target holiday double

THE new year begins with two games in three days for Rotherham United—weather permitting.

Having seen their Christmas fixtures against Stockport and Accrington frozen off, Ronnie Moore's men are now gearing up for the visit of fellow promotion chasers Port Vale on Saturday and the trip to Macclesfield Town on Monday.

Victory on Saturday would see the Millers leapfrog second-placed Vale, who sit a couple of points better off but having played a game more.

With rising temperatures forecast for the weekend, hopes are increasing that both games will go ahead.

Both kick-off at 3pm.
