United failed to make their pressure pay in the first half and were then stung by the sending-off of defender Tom Newey for "violent conduct" midway through the second period.
Moore called the dismissal "a joke," insisting Newey hadn't thrown a punch in his spat with Bees striker Izale McLeod.

Hide AdNevertheless the failure to beat a Barnet side locked in the relegation zone left the Millers chief frustrated.
"When you are on top then you've got to punish teams," he said.
"We played some good stuff in the first half and should have made it count. The pitch was heavy but that is no excuse.
"At the end we were grateful for a couple of great saves from Andy Warrington."

Hide AdVictory would have taken the Millers above Wycombe Wanderers and back into the automatic promotion frame in League Two.
They'll now try to get back to winning ways when they visit another one of the division's strugglers, Bradford City, tomorrow night (7.45pm).
