Millers fall to Swindon

ROTHERHAM United went down 2-1 against Swindon Town at Don Valley Stadium this afternoon.

Two goals in two minutes from Matt Ritchie in the first 20 minutes gave the Millers too much to do despite a spirited second-half comeback.

The winger thrashed in a low first-time shot to open the scoring and then curled in an excellent second from the edge of the box.

Rotherham finally sparked into action in the second half. Alex Revell headed in a Chris Holroyd cross to reduce the arrears on 53 minutes and Lewis Grabban came close to an equaliser when he hit the post, but Paolo Di Canio's side withstood late pressure to take the points.
