Millers could lose Ward

ROTHERHAM United could face a battle to hang onto Grant Ward this summer.

The pacey wide man has spent the entire season on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and has become one of the mainstays of the side.

His value to the London club was shown recently when they offered him a contract until 2018 and still only 21, his progress will not have gone unnoticed by rivals.

Neil Warnock wants to help shape a squad for next season and believes at least three quality additions are needed, but it is clear that the possibility of losing Ward is part of his calculations.

He told the Advertiser: "I can't see us getting Grant Ward again next year if I'm honest.

“I can't see him getting in Tottenham's Champions League squad and I would imagine the lad would want to test himself at a different club, but having said that I've not written it off.”
