ROTHERHAM United chief Andy Scott says there will be no panic despite the team's decline in form.

Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Port Vale left the Millers without a win in four games, a run that has produced only two points and seen ten goals conceded.

Two goals in the first 26 minutes from Marc Richards decided matters at Vale Park. Scott's men rallied in the second half but were again left to rue defensive mistakes.

The Millers chief said: "I don't do panicking. You panic when you've got a gun to your head. It's a game of football but we're having to work extremely hard for our goals whereas teams that are playing us aren't, and that's the difference.

"We will continue to work hard. We've showed we can score goals and we will but we have got to give ourselves a chance by keeping clean sheets."

Now in eighth spot in League Two, Scott's men host local rivals Sheffield United in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tomorrow before returning to league action on Saturday at home to Burton Albion.
