Millers bid to turn the corner

ROTHERHAM United are being challenged to cut out individual mistakes when they take on Aldershot at Don Valley Stadium tomorrow.

A goalkeeping error scuppered their chances of a first win in ten at Northampton last weekend, the Millers having to settle for a share of the spoils for the third successive game.

Despite slipping into the bottom half of League Two, Scott insists Rotherham's position doesn't reflect the way they've performed so far.

"He said: "We've played better than our points tally shows but there's no point dwelling on it. We've got to knuckle down and keep working and the results will come.

"We keep talking about turning points but the performance in the second half at Morecambe and for the majority at Northampton was decent. The goal we conceded there was symptomatic of what's been going on with us recently in that individual mistakes have been costing us.

"We've got to see past that and as soon as the errors are cut out then we will be on the way to winning games and that's the difference. We're not getting the goals that we're giving to other teams at the moment."

There was encouraging news on the injury front this week.

Centre-half Michael Raynes' injury which forced him to be stretchered off at Northampton is not as bad as first thought. He is targeting next Saturday's FA Cup tie at Barrow for his comeback.

His place tomorrow will most likely be taken by Guy Branston, back from suspension.

Kick-off tomorrow is at 3pm.
