Millers await transfer decision

ROTHERHAM United hope to bring in a new signing today.

A deal has been agreed with a Championship club for an attacking player who is set to decide whether he is prepared to make the move.

Manager Steve Evans, meanwhile, saluted his players for their last gasp 3-2 win over Oldham Athletic at the New York Stadium on Saturday.

Daniel Nardiello grabbed two goals, including the 90th minute winner, and Lee Frecklington the other against an Oldham side who played more than half the game with ten men.

Evans said: "We were patient and made a number of chances and it took us until the last minute, but that's what good teams do.

"We pulverised them in the second half and it always looked like a goal could come. Our hunger and desire got us the three points."

The victory kept the Millers fourth in League One and stretched their unbeaten league start to seven games, the best since the 1948/49 season.

In total, the unbeaten league run stands at 12, a sequence that stretches back to April when they lost at Morecambe on the way to promotion from League Two.

The Millers go to Walsall on Saturday.
