Millers alive to Cambridge threat

ROTHERHAM United have a chance to post their first win of the season tonight.

They will start as favourites against League Two outfit Cambridge United at the AESSEAL New York Stadium (7.45pm) in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

While Millers boss Steve Evans is likely to make changes to the side which crashed 4-1 to MK Dons on Saturday in their Championship opener, he will not be taking the tie lightly. The Us started their league campaign by sweeping aside Newport County 3-0.

Evans said: "We'll treat Cambridge with the same respect as any team in the Championship. They had a great cup run last year and they've invested during the summer and had a smart win on Saturday. They could easily be playing in League One."

After Saturday's defeat, the Millers will welcome the chance to get back in action so soon, with a trip to Nottingham Forest to follow on Saturday.

Forward Chris Maguire said: "It will be good to get back out, especially at home. You want to get that winning feeling and hopefully we can do that and get some confidence back to stand us in good stead for Forest."
