McCann set for pro debut

MALTBY teenager Nathan McCann makes his pro bow at Magna later this month—and trainer Dave Coldwell reckons he’llquickly make his mark.

The 18-year-old younger brother of former Coldwell fighter Andrew Ward comes into the ring at flyweight after several fights on the unlicensed circuit.

Said Coldwell: “He’s young and raw but Nathan listens to what he’s told and he is coming on in leaps and bounds.

“He’s an exciting young talent and he’s found that training is a hard but very rewarding experience and he can’t wait to show his already large following how he's improving.”

McCann will be on the undercard for a shaw which sees Brampton’s Gwyn Wale make his return to action after several years out.

Wale’s opponent is expected to be finalised next week.
