Magna to host darts extravaganza

NEARLY 1,500 darts players take to the oche in Rotherham this weekend when a top-notch tournament comes to town.

The BDO British Classic at the Magna Centre sees the organisation's world number one, Stephen Bunting, and world number two, Darryl Fitton, heading up a massive field of players.

Around 400 competitors are expected tomorrow and more than 1,000 on Sunday, with

Lakeside World Champions Martin Adams, John Walton and Trina Gulliver also lined up to appear.

The field also includes top players from Europe.

Doors open at 9am on both days. The action starts at 11am tomorrow and 10am on Sunday.

Admission is £5 and tickets are only available on the door.
