Let's get on with it, says Hunt

JACK Hunt says there's no time for sulking as Rotherham United steel themselves for the big run-in.

The Crystal Palace loan man was gutted to see his return from injury end in defeat at Watford in midweek. But irrespective of the individual bloopers that resulted in three goals, he insists the general team performance wasn't up to scratch.

The sooner he gets to put that right, the better, and with the carrot of three big points on offer against Millwall tomorrow, Hunt and his team-mates have an immediate chance to flush the painful away days at Molineux and Vicarage Road out of their system.

Speaking to the Advertiser, Hunt said: “As a group we knew Watford would be a tough game because they're challenging for promotion.

“I know I've not been here long but the task here is to stay up and I think that sort of performance isn't really acceptable.

“Personally, I'm not one to go to places like Watford and sit down and play the occasion. I want to be right in amongst it and that wasn't good enough.

“Individuals make mistakes and that's fine, no-one is going to blame anyone, but we need to put that to bed and get it right for Saturday.

“As a young lad, I was always told that whenever you have a bad result, it's good that another game comes around so quickly. I have always remembered that and my mentality is that there's a massive game coming up and if we go into that with a bad mentality and we're still sulking it will be no good.

“It's a six-pointer so we can't think like that, we've got to be positive.”
