Le Fondre in deadline day spotlight

ALL eyes are on the striker situation at Rotherham United as the clock ticks down to tonight's 6pm transfer deadline.

Plymouth Argyle are reported to have offered Rory Fallon in exchange for the Millers' leading scorer Adam Le Fondre—a bid instantly rejected by chairman Tony Stewart.

Team manager Moore had previously made an enquiry for New Zealand international Fallon but wanted him to play alongside Le Fondre.

Moore, meanwhile, is still hoping to finalise a deal for his son, Ian Thomas-Moore, from Tranmere Rovers.

The Millers have offered £30,000 for the player, who turned 34 last week, but will not go any higher due to his age.

Tranmere are asking £50,000 after initially demanding £100,000.

There can be no permanent deals until January 1 after today's deadline.
