Kelly sizes up Dons test

DEFENDER Stephen Kelly believes the Millers will have to adjust to a different kind of challenge in today's Championship basement battle at MK Dons.

Dons like to get the ball down and construct their attacks, in contrast to Tuesday's opponents Bristol City who weren't afraid to go long.

According to reports, the Dons were nervous in defeat to Wolves on Tuesday, an encouraging sign given that there is even more at stake this time.

Kelly has no doubt the Millers have the legs for the battle but says they have to adapt and stay switched on.

He told the Advertiser: “I've played at MK Dons once or twice during my career and they play good football and always pass the ball well. It will be a very different task to Bristol, it's even more about concentration and not letting them break you down with slide rule passes and things.

“We really battled hard at Bristol and they are a physical side. They put a lot of balls into the box and we had to defend well. It will be a different ball game and we just need to have our heads on and the same work ethic."
