Joker complete cup treble
JOKER ended the local football season with three trophies in a week after completing a memorable triple at the New York Stadium.
They beat New Keppel 2-0 on Friday night to win the Rotherham Association Cup, sponsored by Rosehill Press. Jon Plant and Steve McDonnell scored the goals in the second half.
The win followed a 4-0 victory against Keppel three days earlier in the final of the Rotherham Charity Cup. Joker also retained the Sunday League KO Cup by beating JSS Pot.
Meanwhile, the finals season ended on Sunday, with Maltby Manor Hotel lifting the George Stainrod Trophy and Valley Athletic the Terry Dewick Trophy.
