Hyam recalled by Ipswich

MILLERS loan man Luke Hyam has been recalled by parent club Ipswich Town due to injuries at Portman Road.

The 24-year-old midfielder made five appearances after joining in November and helped the team to victories against Bristol City and Hull City.

While Rotheham boss Neil Redfearn is sad to lose the player, he understands the reasoning behind recall.

"Mick (McCarthy, Ipswich manager) has injuries and it is coming into a time when he needs his players back," he said. "There is a recall clause available to Ipswich so we have to respect their option to take Luke back.

"I would like to thank Mick McCarthy and Ipswich for allowing us to have Luke here. I would also like to thank him for his service to us; he did a great job for the club.

"He was outstanding against Hull City last Saturday and we wish him all the best for the future."
