They’re all Millers fans in South Africa!

MILLERS fans, they get everywhere, don’t they?

Check out these young lads sporting a vintage Rotherham United away strip.

They were snapped in Durban, South Africa, by student journalist Yaseen Rana, who is volunteering at the Umthombo project for street children and tweeted us this photo.

Yaseen said: “The kids play football three times a week and on my first day the bright yellow kit caught my eye.

“I thought maybe it was a Borussia Dortmund kit, but on closer inspection they were all wearing an old Rotherham kit.

“I asked the staff how the hell Rotherham kit ended up here — the project is very small and only employs about ten staff — and none of them knew, saying the kit has been there for longer than any of them.

“Our best guess is that someone left them here at the Street Child World Cup here in Durban in 2010, but no-one is sure.”

Can any of our readers solve the mystery of how the kit — believed to date from between 2007 and 2009 — came to end up in South Africa? Email [email protected] or tweet us @rotherhamtiser.
