ROTHERHAM United are believed to be closing in on the signing of League of Ireland Player of the Year Georgie Kelly.

The 25-year-old hot-shot, who scored 26 goals for Bohemian in his last season with the club, is a free agent and has attracted interested from several League One sides.

Millers manager Paul Warne said last week that he'd held talks with Kelly but hadn't offered him a deal because he already had his quota of strikers at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Plymouth Argyle became the front-runners for his signature but it now looks like Rotherham will be the player's new home as long as there are no late hitches.
