The Championship Millers head to the League One Tractor Boys early in the New Year when their former striker will be lying in wait.

Ladapo, the club's record signing in 2019, left AESSEAL New York Stadium for East Anglia after being released by Rotherham in the summer.

His time at the Millers, for whom he scored 42 goals, ended on a sour note.

He handed in a transfer request in January of his final season and finished up being exiled from then-boss Paul Warne's promotion-winning squad.

As a Championship side, Rotherham enter this season's competition at the third-round stage.

Last season, as a third-tier club, they beat National League Bromley Town and Stockport County at New York before taking second-tier QPR to extra time at Loftus Road.

They went out on penalties, beaten 8-7 in a shoot-out when Chiedozie Ogbene's spot-kick was saved.

The tie will take place on the weekend of January 7 and 8.
