FRUSTRATED winger Julien Lamy tonight left Rotherham United and joined League One rivals AFC Wimbledon on loan for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old wide man agreed a one-year Millers deal after a successful trial but had found the first-team opportunities he craved hard to come by.

Manager Paul Warne had always stressed that the French youngster had been signed as a development project.

He made three substitute appearances in League and started two EFL Trophy games.

With his contract up at the end of the campaign, he is unlikely to be seen in a Rotherham shirt again.
