ROTHERHAM United loan signing Domingos Quina is facing several weeks on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury.

The attacking midfielder, who has made only one brief substitute appearance since joining the Millers on the final day of the January transfer window, pulled out of Tuesday's Championship clash at Reading when he felt pain during the warm-up.

Tests have shown the problem is connected to his medial knee ligaments.

"We are looking at solutions in relation to getting him back as soon as we possibly can," said manager Matt Taylor. "It is a real shame for Dom and we will assess him over the next few weeks."

There is better news on key man Ollie Rathbone who Taylor says has "got a chance" of recovering from a groin issue in time to face Coventry City at AESSEAL New York Stadium tomorrow.

The in-form midfielder came off in the second half against Reading with a recurrence of a problem he has had to manage throughout the season.

"Because he has had this complaint in terms of fatigue in his groin before, he knows how to recover from it," Taylor said. "He has recovered in the past and we hope that might be the case going into this weekend.

"We will have to assess him tomorrow. He has been out on the pitch today without going full pelt, so that's a good sign."

Loan left-back Leo Hjelde could be declared fit after missing the last two matches with an ankle complaint.

"Leo has done a little bit of training this week," Taylor said. "He still has a little bit of discomfort but he's got the chance of being involved in some capacity."
