The Millers landed Arsenal flyer Jordi Osei-Tutu on the last day of the January transfer window and he had been expected in South Yorkshire tomorrow.

However, he will now remain with his parent club for a couple more days following his recovery from an ankle injury and will join the Millers for training for the first time on Thursday.

That means he misses Tuesday's League One trip to AFC Wimbledon but will be in contention for a squad place for Sunday's derby visit to Hillsborough.

"I will have him available for Sheffield Wednesday," manager Paul Warne confirmed. "He'll be in the building by then."

Osei-Tutu, who has been brought in to share the wing-back load on the right flank with Chiedozie Ogbene, is considered a big talent but has been unlucky with injuries.

The 23-year-old impressed in Championship loans at Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest but his spell in Wales was hampered by a hamstring problem and his recent ankle issue saw his time at the City Ground cut short last month.

"Jordi has got that pace and threat I was looking for and waiting for a couple more days is fine by me," Warne said.

Meanwhile, Rotherham are issuing life bans to two spectators who ran on to the pitch at AESSEAL New York Stadium and disrupted the 1-0 home win over Accrington Stanley yesterday.

The pair have been arrested.

It's the third time in three weeks the Millers have been hit by fan misbehaviour and in a statement they said: "We are incredibly disappointed to once again be issuing a post-match statement to condemn the actions of two of our so-called supporters.

"We are embarrassed to be commenting on fans who absolutely do not represent the majority of supporters or what we stand for as a club."
