DEADLINE DAY: Smallwood leaves for Scunthorpe
ROTHERHAM United midfielder Richie Smallwood has joined League One side Scunthorpe United on a year long loan deal.
The 25-year-old central midfielder joined the Millers on loan during their promotion winning League One campaign, before signing permanently later in the year.
The former Middlesbrough man has made 110 appearances for Alan Stubbs' side in all competitions and netted the deciding penalty in the League One play off final against Leyton Orient at Wembley.
Smallwood's departure leaves just club captain Lee Frecklington remaining from the League One play off squad.
