Multiple trophy winners Dog Daisy United to be renamed Gorilla FC for new season

The Mexborough Sunday League club have moved their base to the Gorilla Beer Hall in Mexborough and will be re-named Gorilla FC. It will be the same team playing under a different title.

They won the Mexborough Sunday League, Mexborough Montagu Cup, Rotherham Charity Cup, George Jowett Trophy and Mexborough Challenge Cup last term.

Gorilla will start the defence of the Mexborough Montagu Cup on Sunday, August 6 against the winners of the preliminary round tie between Denaby Main and Mind Over Matter.
