Evans to make changes

ROTHERHAM United manager Steve Evans says he won't shirk from making changes to his side for the remaining two matches of the regular season.

With a place in the League One play-offs already assured, the Millers host MK Dons this weekend and then go to Swindon Town on Saturday week before the season reaches crunch time.

Evans tweaked his line-up for both Easter fixtures and was encouraged by what he saw in the high-scoring 6-4 defeat to Wolves and Monday’s win over Port Vale at the New York Stadium.

Depite playing the second half of that game with ten men due to Richie Smallwood's red card, a gritty display was rewarded when substitute Kieran Agard swooped to score the only goal of the game.

“It's essential we win every game we play, especially when we tinker to give players game time,” said Evans.

“We will make two or three changes on Saturday and the same again at Swindon and I make no apologies for it. It's important I look at different personnel and options and it's my job to make sure we're right for the play-offs.”

Monday's win took the Millers back up to third spot.
