Duo power into world top ten

Dan, from Wath, and Becky, from Rawmarsh, achieved the feats in Hamburg despite having only been involved in the sport for a year.

Dan competed professionally with 32kg kettlebells in the male biathlon, finishing seventh in the world.

Becky took part in the amateur ranks with a 16kg kettlebell in female snatch only, ranking sixth in the world.

Said Dan: "It was a great experience and one which we hope to better next year when the World Championships are to be held in Dublin."
