Deliveries of Tesla's Model X SUV get underway
Five customers across the Atlantic took delivery of their gull-winged Model X’s last night as Elon Musk’s burgeoning premium eco brand continues to gather momentum and add new models to its line-up.
The Model X boasts an electric range of upto 250 miles and performance which will see it reach 60mph in an eye-watering 3.2 seconds, on its way to a 155mph top speed.

But those gull-wing doors elude to even more space-age technology under the metal.
It boats the best drag coefficient of any SUV in production (at 0.24cd) — thanks partially to an active rear spoiler — and a low centre of gravity thanks to low-slung lithium ion batteries.
Elsewhere, every Model X carries a forward-looking camera, radar and 360-degree sonar sensors to enable advanced autopilot features.

It seems the electric revolution is gaining pace State-side and Tesla have been back to the future to future-proof their latest offering.
