Davis set to return

EXPERIENCED defender Claude Davis is set to return to the Rotherham United line-up for tonight's friendly at Livingston.

The centre-half sat out last night's hard-fought 0-0 draw at Greenock Morton after being granted time off due to a family bereavement.

Manager Steve Evans says he will play a part at Livingston (7.30pm) in the second of the three-match tour of Scotland.

He said: "Claude has nothing but our sympathy and best wishes after his family bereavement. He was particularly close to his granddad, almost like a father figure, but Claude has worked really hard doing double sessions and we look forward to giving him 45 minutes against Livingston."

Evans is again set to rotate his squad, having fielded the majority of his players last night and in Saturday's win over Parkgate.

The Scottish tour concludes against Ayr United on Saturday.
