Cricketers look for new blood

THE countdown to the cricket season is under way and South Yorkshire Senior League outfit Thorpe Hesley and High Green start their winter training next week in readiness for what they hope will be a successful season.

The Division Three West side’s nets get under way on Sunday, February 7, at Sheffield Indoor Cricket Centre on Petre Street in Sheffield. Juniors (ages 8-15) are from noon-1pm and Seniors (15-adult) from 1-2pm.

The club would welcome any new members wanting to join and play cricket in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.

They are particularly keen to hear from any juniors and have teams at U11, 13 and 15 age groups, and coaching is provided from several ECB level one and two coaches.
