Cricket club appeals for new players

A CRICKET club is on the lookout for new players for the coming season.

Maltby MW has a team in Division Five of the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League and plays a host of friendly fixtures on Sundays throughout the summer.

Maltby also intends to join the Barnsley Sunday Cricket League for the 2024 season.

The club is offering a variety of opportunities for local cricketers and is looking for new players of all standards.

A spokesman said: “Maltby is an extremely friendly, community-based club.

“It looks to provide cricket opportunities for all at the minimum possible cost and new players will find a very welcoming environment in which to enjoy the game.”
